Touch Lamps

Touch lamps are a fantastic invention that reacts to the warmth of the body. You just touch the lamp and then it lights up. Originally made for people with limited mobility, it is now fashionable and more common. This made it easier for the disabled and elderly and now it also makes it easier for all of us.

They are an amazing invention. There are a few parts that all work together to make this goal happen. There is a metal antenna, touch sensitive electric circuitry, flip flop memory bits, low voltage power supply, and a high voltage electronic switch. You cannot forget the light bulb, either. The flip flop memory bits work to remember on and off settings which alone is a miracle. All of these together make for an amazing piece of electronics.

Today more and more children are having their rooms decorated with their own desires, designs and themes. A nice addition to each room would be a lamp of their choice. Touch lamps have many designs on the shades and would go well in a young child's room or a teenager's room.

Two of such lamps for children have cute little kittens on the panels in the shade, one of the lamps has a fairy and there are two more lamps with angels. A selection could be made from dogs, horses or cars. If your child would be interested in country western stars, there is a touch lamp with Shania Twain pictured with her guitar and one with Alan Jackson. There is also a lamp with Hannah Montana.
